Matrimony

The first step in planning a wedding in the Catholic Church is to meet with your parish priest.
There are various ceremonies or services that Couples may be interested in:
  • Engagement Service
  • Wedding Ceremony or Service
  • Validation Ceremony (Where a couple have married outside of the Faith and one of the spouses is Catholic seeking to obtain a blessing or validation of their state of marriage within the Catholic Church.)
  • Anniversary Renewal of Vows
  • Second marriages - If an annulment is necessary for either party, then the parish priest may not set a date on the parish schedule, or begin marriage preparation, until there is a decree of nullity in hand.
In all instances, call the parish office at (650) 323-1755 to make an appointment for an interview with Father Edward Inyanwachi and help in marriage preparation.

When planning for music at your ceremony or service, please contact the parish office to arrange to speak to the music minister to obtain a booklet guide for music and discuss your selection and needs. Please plan on speaking to the music minister at least 3 months before your service to confirm availability of musicians and cantors and ensure timely planning and rehearsal of music. See our Music page for further information.
